Terms of service
By using Citable you accept these terms. We try to keep them clear and direct, with no small print. If anything is unclear, write to hello@get-citable.com.
1. Who provides the service
Citable is provided by its owner, whose details are:
- Owner
- Pol Angrill Domingo
- Tax ID (NIF)
- ES48021407Y
- Address
- Rambla Principal 92, 08800 Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), Spain
2. The service
Citable measures every week whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode (and, with the matching paid add-on, other engines) mention and cite your site when asked your buyers’ questions; finds where competitors are cited instead of you; proposes and writes sourced articles and improvements to existing pages, and can publish them to your CMS (Framer, Webflow, WordPress, Ghost, Shopify, Wix, Notion, HubSpot, Contentful, Sanity, Strapi, Storyblok, Medium or a signed webhook).
It also includes a weekly technical audit, tracking of visits that come from AI assistants, client reports, a public API and an MCP server. What each plan includes is on the pricing page.
Questions are put to the AI engines through providers that query them as a user would or through their APIs with web search. These engines change their answers from one run to the next: that is why we report percentages with their confidence interval and never a “position”. How every number is counted is in the methodology.
3. Account and access
You must be at least 18 and use Citable for your own or your company’s professional activity. By creating an account and adding a site you confirm that you are allowed to manage it and, if you connect its CMS, Search Console, Google Analytics, your email inbox (Gmail or Outlook), your HeyReach account or your LinkedIn account or profile, to give us access to them. You are responsible for:
- Keeping control of your email (you sign in with a link we send you or with your Google account).
- Everything done from your account, including by team members you invite.
- Telling us straight away if you notice any unauthorised use.
4. Plans, trial and payment
There are three plans, priced per site: Starter (€19/month), Growth (€49/month) and Business (€89/month). A workspace can pay for several sites, each at the same price and with no volume discount. Agencies get a free account (see Agency accounts): each client they add has their own workspace and pays one of those plans for each of its sites. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. You can pay monthly or yearly; annual billing equals 10 monthly payments.
- Free trial: the first subscription of each workspace starts with a 14-day trial and 5 articles. We ask for a card when it starts; unless you cancel before it ends, the chosen plan is charged when it finishes. There is one trial per workspace and it cannot be exchanged for money.
- Before the trial you can add your site, competitors and questions and see the technical audit without a card, within some usage limits.
- Sites: the subscription charges the plan for each paid site, and the article pack and per-site add-ons for each one too. You can add or remove paid sites at any time from Billing: adding one charges the prorated part of the current period straight away; removing one credits the unused part on your next invoice (it isn’t refunded in money). You can’t pay for fewer sites than the workspace has set up.
- Article packs: on the Business plan only, per site. On the other plans, more articles means moving up a plan.
- Paid add-ons: extras bought per site, such as “AI images”, an extra country or measurement on other engines, or per account, such as “Automatic LinkedIn” (per connected LinkedIn account). They are charged with the subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price on the pricing page when you add them, and you can remove them at any time: they stop being charged at renewal.
- Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. Invoices are issued by the owner and are available in the customer portal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- If you move up a plan or add add-ons, the prorated part of the current period is charged straight away. If you move down, the change applies at renewal and until then you keep what you already paid for.
5. Agency accounts
The agency account is free: the agency pays no plan. From it, the agency creates a workspace of its own for each client, and each workspace subscribes to and pays its normal plan per site and paid add-ons, with the free trial on its first subscription.
- Each client workspace’s subscription belongs to whoever pays for it: the agency with its card, or the client through a payment link. Invoices are issued to that person or company, who is also the one who can cancel it or ask for a refund.
- The agency confirms that its client has authorised it to add the client’s site, connect the client’s services and process the client’s data in Citable, and is responsible for what its team does in its clients’ workspaces.
- The agency’s team accesses its clients’ workspaces with the permissions the agency gives it. Reports, emails and read-only access can carry the agency’s brand.
- We do not sell to, or send marketing messages to, the clients an agency brings.
- The agency earns a commission on the invoices its clients pay, under the referral program.
6. Referral program and commissions
Every user has a referral link. Anyone who arrives through it and creates a new account within 90 days of the click is credited to the person who referred them (the first link clicked counts). We do not credit an account that already existed, a workspace that has or had a subscription, or a self-referral (your own account, the same email or members of the same workspace). Each workspace has one referrer at most.
- If you are not an agency: you earn a €20 credit for each new workspace you bring, once that workspace has paid its second invoice with an amount and no refund (the trial invoice does not count). It is taken off your next Citable invoice automatically; if you have no plan yet, it waits until you subscribe. The credit is a discount on Citable: it is not paid in cash, cannot be transferred and is not refundable. If one of the referred workspace’s invoices is refunded before the credit is applied and it no longer reaches the threshold, the credit is cancelled; once applied, it is not taken back. The person you refer gets no discount.
- If you are an agency: you earn 20% of every invoice paid by your clients, excluding VAT, with no time limit, for as long as they pay. It is based on what the client actually paid, net of refunds: a partial refund reduces the commission in the same proportion and a full refund cancels it.
- Each commission is held for 60 days from the payment of its invoice and only becomes available if the invoice has not been refunded in that time. Available commissions are paid monthly by bank transfer, once the agency has given us its tax and payment details and, where the law requires it, its invoice. Each agency declares and pays the taxes on what it earns.
- If an invoice is refunded after its commission has been paid, the difference is deducted from the agency’s next commissions.
- When you share your link, say it is a referral link. Bidding on the Citable brand or domain in ads, spam, bought lists, fake reviews and promising results we do not promise are not allowed.
- If we detect fraud or a breach of these rules, we may cancel the credits and commissions affected (including those held or available) and remove whoever is responsible from the program.
- We may change these conditions with 14 days’ notice; anything already earned keeps the conditions under which it was earned.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the customer portal, with no minimum term or penalty. The subscription stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
Periods already billed are not refunded, except in the cases set out in the refund policy, which includes the right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union.
A refund never exceeds what you actually paid for that charge. Credits (including the referral credit), discounts and free trial periods are not refundable as cash.
8. AI-generated content
Articles, page improvements, outreach drafts and the answers of the Citable assistant are generated with artificial intelligence models from your site, your instructions and public sources. An automatic verification step flags unsourced numbers and other issues, but it does not replace your review: AI can be wrong.
- You are responsible for reviewing content before you publish it or let it be published, and for what finally appears on your site.
- Articles and texts generated for you are yours: to the extent we hold any rights in them, we assign them to you. We may keep them in your account to provide the service (history, measuring their effect, undoing a publication).
- You may not use the service to generate unlawful, misleading or defamatory content or content that infringes third-party rights.
9. Automatic publishing
If you connect a CMS, you authorise us to create drafts and publish on your behalf according to the publishing mode chosen for each site. The default is automatic publishing with an approval window, with these safeguards:
- Only articles that pass verification with no errors are scheduled; the rest stay as drafts.
- You approve the first 3 articles of each site by hand.
- Each article is published 3 days after it is ready (you can choose 3, 7 or 14 days). We email you with a link to stop it.
- At most 1 automatic publication per site per day.
- For 7 days you can unpublish an article and it goes back to draft.
- You can pause publishing for a site or switch it to “drafts only” at any time.
10. Integrations and third-party services
Connections to your CMS, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, your email inbox and the other integrations (GitHub, Slack, Google Sheets and Docs, HubSpot, Semrush and Ahrefs) use the permissions you grant in those services, and you can revoke them at any time from there or from Citable. Pull requests opened by the GitHub integration never merge on their own: you decide. What you publish to your CMS is also subject to its own terms. We are not responsible for changes, outages or limits of those services or of the AI engines we measure.
If you connect your inbox, the outreach emails of your campaigns are sent from it and on your behalf, only the ones you approve one by one (or “all reviewed”), with a daily cap and within working hours. You are the sender and responsible for their content and for complying with the commercial communication rules that apply to you; do not email anyone who has asked you not to.
LinkedIn in campaigns works in three ways: assisted (Citable prepares the note and the message and you send them yourself from LinkedIn), with “Automatic LinkedIn” or with your HeyReach account. With “Automatic LinkedIn” (a paid add-on), you connect your LinkedIn account in the window of our provider Unipile (Citable never sees your password) and Citable sends from it only what you approve and launch, during working hours, with daily and weekly limits and random gaps; you can disconnect it at any time. If you connect your HeyReach account with its API key, Citable only hands it the people and texts you approve and export, and HeyReach sends the invitations and messages, under its own terms. LinkedIn’s terms restrict automation: using “Automatic LinkedIn” or HeyReach may go against them and LinkedIn may restrict or suspend your accounts; you take that risk. If you connect your LinkedIn profile to post, Citable only publishes the posts you approve on it, through LinkedIn’s official API; you post comments in threads yourself.
11. Acceptable use
You may not use Citable to:
- Publish unlawful, fraudulent or spam content or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Run link schemes: link exchanges, paid links or link networks.
- Measure or publish to sites you do not manage (tracking your competitors is part of the service and is fine).
- Overload or attack our systems, bypass API limits or scrape data in bulk.
- Reverse engineer, copy or resell the service outside an agency account.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules; in serious cases, without notice.
12. Intellectual property
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Citable under these terms. The software, design, brand and infrastructure belong to the owner or its licensors. Your content stays yours; you allow us to process it solely to provide the service.
13. No guaranteed results
Citable does not guarantee that any AI engine will mention or cite you, nor any Google ranking, traffic or sales. AI engines decide their answers by their own criteria, which change without notice. What we do is measure with a stated method, explain what changes and do the work that tends to improve visibility.
14. Availability
We do our best to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee it will run without interruptions or errors. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner of Citable is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data or damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including content published on your site. Total liability will not exceed what you paid in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits the rights consumer law gives you.
16. Closing your account
You can ask us to delete your account by writing to hello@get-citable.com. If you cancel, your data is kept and deleted as described in the privacy policy. Anything already published to your CMS stays there: it is yours and you manage it.
17. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Barcelona (Spain), unless applicable consumer law sets a different venue.
19. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to hello@get-citable.com or visit the contact page.
