Why now

Buyers ask AI for a shortlist. Find out if you’re on it.

When the answer is written for them, fewer people click through. What matters now is whether your site is one of the few sources the answer names and cites.

How it works

You set it up once. It runs every week.

No keyword spreadsheets and no prompts to write. Add your site, check what we propose, and the loop runs on its own: measure, write, publish, measure again.

  1. 1

    Add your site

Paste your URL. We read your site and propose your competitors and the questions your buyers ask AI assistants. You edit them, then connect your CMS: WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Shopify, Ghost, Notion or a webhook.

15 to 60 questions, by plan
  2. 2

    We measure every week

Each question goes to ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Perplexity on every plan, plus Claude on Business and Grok as an add-on. You get the share of answers that mention and cite you, and who gets cited instead.

3 samples per question and AI tool (Claude and Grok, 1)
  3. 3

We write, publish and measure again

Sourced articles for the gaps, in your brand voice, published with safeguards. Same questions next week: when a page we published gets cited, you see it.

Only what passes verification goes live
01Dashboard

How often AI mentions you, with a range, not a guess.

The share of answers that mention you and link to your site, per AI tool and week, next to your competitors. A change is only called a change when it’s bigger than the noise.

  • A 90% range on every rate
  • Up, down or “no clear change yet”
  • You next to every competitor
02Prompts

Every question your buyers ask, and who wins it instead of you.

For each question and AI tool: whether the answer links to you, only names you or leaves you out. Open any row to read the answer, with the brands it names and the pages it cites.

  • 15 to 60 questions, by plan
  • Each with its own language and country
  • The pages cited instead of yours
03Articles

Articles with a reason, published with safeguards.

A monthly plan where every topic comes from a measured gap or real search demand. Sourced articles in your brand voice, checked before they can go live, and published to your CMS.

  • Every claim linked to a checked source
  • Your voice, learned from your own pages
  • Choose how many articles a month

04Mentions

Get mentioned where AI looks. No link schemes.

Most citations come from third-party pages. We list the ones that cite your competitors, draft honest outreach for you to send, and track each one until it’s won.

  • Never link exchanges or paid links
  • Drafts you review and send
  • Tracked until won, then measured
05Reports

A Monday email, and reports your clients understand.

Every Monday, what changed, what we did and what needs you. For agencies, white-label reports with your logo and colour, as PDF, CSV or a read-only link.

  • Your brand on client reports
  • REST API, CLI and signed webhooks
  • Unlimited team members, with roles
06Audit & local

Make sure AI can read you, and find you on the map.

34 technical checks every week, from robots.txt per AI crawler to content without JavaScript. For local businesses, your Google Business Profile next to the top 3 on Maps. And visits from AI tools, counted without cookies.

  • Search and training bots, told apart
  • Fixes with steps for your platform
  • Tracking script under 1 KB, no cookies

Every number opens the answer behind it.

Click any rate in the app to read the answers it comes from: which AI tool, which brands it named and which pages it cited.

  • Three samples, every week

Each question is asked three times on each AI tool every week, and every rate comes with its 90% range. One answer is an anecdote.

  • Kept as answered

We store each answer with its cited URLs and the competitors it names, so every number can be traced back to the text.

  • Same rules for everyone

Your brand and every competitor are matched the same way: name, aliases and domain, ignoring case and accents.

No hype

What we measure, and what we don’t.

We measure

  • The share of answers that mention your brand, per question and AI tool.
  • The share of answers that link to your site as a source.
  • Which competitors and third-party pages get cited instead of you.
  • Whether a page we published gets cited once it’s live.

We don’t

  • Promise rankings, citations or a “position in ChatGPT”.
  • Claim every change is caused by our articles. Changes inside the range are flagged as noise.
  • See personalised answers of logged-in users. We measure fresh, non-personalised answers.
  • Build links through exchanges, networks or payments. Ever.

Is Citable an Outrank alternative?

Yes, with a different approach. Outrank publishes articles and builds backlinks on autopilot for $99 a month. Citable also publishes on autopilot (Business, with 30 sourced articles a month like Outrank's 30, is €89), but it measures every week whether AI engines cite you, picks topics from measured gaps, verifies every article before it can go live and never uses link schemes.

Will it publish without my approval?

Yes, by default, with safeguards. Only articles that pass verification with zero errors are scheduled. You approve the first 3 on each site by hand; after that each one goes live after a 3-day window with a one-click “Don’t publish” email, at most one per site per day, and you can unpublish it in one click for 7 days. You can pause a site or switch to drafts only at any time.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will cite me?

No, and nobody honestly can. We show you where you’re missing, act on the gaps you can win, point out off-site opportunities and show you, with a range, whether anything changed.

Does Google penalise AI-written articles?

Google’s spam policies target content made mainly to manipulate rankings, however it’s produced, including “scaled content abuse”. That’s why we write only when there’s a measured reason, cite checked sources in every article, cap publishing at one a day and never build links through schemes.

Do you build backlinks?

Not through exchanges, networks or payments, which Google’s spam policies list as link spam. We find pages that cite your competitors, draft honest outreach for you to send, track it until it’s won and suggest legitimate directories for your sector.

Which AI engines do you track?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Perplexity on every plan; Business also adds Claude, and Grok is an add-on for any plan. Each question is asked three times per engine every week (Claude and Grok once: each Claude answer runs a web search, and Grok is measured once a week in your main country). ChatGPT and Gemini are read as a user sees them, with search and sources; Perplexity, Claude and Grok through their model API with web search, which is close to their apps but not identical. The three Google ones are different places: Gemini is Google's chat app, AI Overviews is the AI summary above the normal search results, and AI Mode is the AI tab in Google Search.

Which platforms does it work with?

Measurement, gaps and the audit work for any public website. Articles publish to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Shopify, Ghost and Notion, or to any stack through a signed webhook. They arrive as drafts unless you turn on automatic publishing.

Are there free tools?

Yes, with no account: the free AI visibility report, an AI crawler checker for your robots.txt and an llms.txt generator. You’ll find them under Tools.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, in one click from the Stripe customer portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

What does the free report include?

A one-off measurement of up to five buyer questions for your site on three engines, who gets mentioned and cited instead of you, and the third-party pages the engines rely on. No credit card, sent by email.
